Rich Morel began Hot Sauce in Washington DC two years ago following the national success of his Blowoff events (with partner Bob Mould). Hot Sauce has residencies now in Washington DC and Baltimore with upcoming events planned for Palm Springs and more!
RICH MOREL is renowned for his signature, deep and progressive, electronic dance-rock sound. Morel is an in-demand singer/songwriter, producer and remixer crafting records for an impressive list of artists including Cyndi Lauper, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, Seal, La Roux, and The Killers. Morel's latest remix of Yoko Ono's "Walking On Thin Ice" scored him his 30th number one on Billboard's Club Play chart.
MOREL is also known for his collaborations with Grammy Award winning house music pioneers Deep Dish (“Stranded,” “Mohammed is Jesus” and “Sacramento”) from their seminal debut ‘Junk Science’ and ‘George Is On’, and for his seismic club hits “True (The Faggot Is You)”, “Cabaret” and “Under A Disco”.
Morel is also in Deathfix, with Brendan Canty (Fugazi) , Mark Cisneros and Jerry Busher (Fugazi). Deathfix released their debut album on Dischord records in 2013.
RODDY BOTTUM is a NYC based musician/composer from California.
He is a founding member and keyboard player of the San Francisco weirdo band, FAITH NO MORE, recently reformed, who have been playing shows and making music around the globe, the most recent of which is a special 4th of July concert this summer with Black Sabbath in Hyde Park in London.
Roddy also plays guitar and sings in the critically acclaimed indie/pop band IMPERIAL TEEN, who have released 5 records and will play this summer for Merge Record’s 25 year Anniversary shindig in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Bottum currently resides in NYC and composes musical score for indie films and a lot of children’s television. He DJ’s occasionally on the side and is writing an opera about Sasquatch that will premier in New York City in 2015.
Roddy will be bicycling this summer 550 miles from SF to LA as part of AIDS LifeCycle to raise money for AIDS.
Roddy is is currently single.
Hot Sauce is a dance party with no rules dictating style or playlists. But Rich likes House Music.
